Golden Thread Films was created to present works that explore the spiritual dimensions of the human experience. Each individual, group, tradition, and belief has their own unique note to play in this shared experience of life. The films and projects of Golden Thread look to show the wealth of each note to ever growing audiences. By sharing the knowledge and teachings of this diverse universe of spiritual seekers, Golden Thread Films hopes to convey the oneness that all of us share.

Because each person’s path to spiritual fulfillment is different, Golden Thread Films doesn’t limit the areas or topics of its projects. We feel that all traditions fundamentally speak to the same central theme that at the most basic level we are all one. If we stand at the center of our life and start to look outward, the answers to our many questions can come from both near and far. Many of the same values and the fulfillment represented in Eastern traditions can also be found at the beginnings of Western Society. Even by looking at our own roots here in this culture, we can see the golden thread that ties us all together. Ultimately, that thread will turn inward, where deep inside us, the light will be found.

The films and projects we produce will include how particular practices are done, exploring the teachings of philosophers and mystics, and profiling
individuals and groups as they work to bring their own unique notes into the world. It is our hope that the audiences will enjoy and celebrate each of our films as the embodiment of the joy that spiritual curiosity can bring to the soul.
